This was a purchase I made for a trip overseas. I wanted to pack light on the way over so I could avoid checking luggage, but I knew I'd have a lot of souveniers on the way home. I went for the large just in case, and I don't think I can put enough emphasis on the word LARGE here. This thing packs into a flat, 8x8 inch or so "wallet", but when opened it's gigantic! It held all my clothing, so I checked it on the way home. Although it was packed full with heavy sweaters and jeans, the straps held just fine. It allowed me to pack my valuables and souveniers in my suitcase to carry on (they ALWAYS seem to lose my luggage). It was a godsend.

The Baggallini is absolutely invaluable if you are an environmentally conscious shopper and do not wish to collect plastic or paper bags. The tote expands from an extremely compact little packet into an unbelievably spacious tote. The straps are strong, the tote is washable, never an issue with the multiple zippers, and there is no magic required to fold the tote back into its compact packet. I have had mine for several years and it still looks like new. I am now purchasing one for my sister.
