A Great Set of Luggage July 19, 2008

I am so happy with this purchase, a good bargain always makes my day, and this one made my month! I am an Amazon Prime customer so getting this set of luggage with free shipping in two days made the bargain just that much better!
I have been shopping for new luggage for quite some time. I've been to local dept. stores and prices are ridiculous! I couldn't buy one medium size rolling upright of similar quality for the price of this whole set at Kohls or Gottschalks. Yet here you get an extra large 28x19" upright, a 25x17" upright, a 21x14" upright, and a 20" wheeled duffle for 95.99 (in olive green)!
Quality? If you are a traveling business person and travel constantly you might want a higher quality set. But I use luggage maybe 10 to 12 times annually and this set will probably last me a good 25 years or more, I'd guess. It has sturdy handles and strong fairly heavy zippers. The uprights are expandable, the insides are lightly lined, the fronts are padded, and they are nice looking and they all nest together for easy storage. I bought the green set since it was cheaper and I am a fan of the color green(I don't know why its cheaper; maybe they have too many in the warehouse or it is just not a popular color), and the color is not as bright as the pictures here show. Not too masculine looking, and not too feminine looking so they could be shared by both sexes in my opinion. Regarding quality, I would say they are very well made compared to what I have seen in my shopping excursions. Unless you are extremely picky or critical, I would say GO FOR IT! It's a GREAT BARGAIN! The only negative thing I can say is that like too many consumer items these days, this is made in China and I always try to buy American. But that is getting very difficult if not impossible (thank you NAFTA) these days.
One last remark: For whatever it's worth, now that I have the set, I compared it to the pictures of the 'Traveler's Choice Amsterdam 4-pieces Luggage Set', also offered by Amazon. These two sets are almost, if not completely identical, other than the colors that are offered.
I am very pleased with this purchase! Thanks again, Amazon.
A Great Luggage Set June 25, 2008

I got this luggage set because of the carry-on with the hidden handle. I was looking for a set that was also lightweight and expandable, and this set fit the criteria. I resently used my luggage and I was not disappointed. I was pleased from the moment I took them out of the box, but I wanted to use them at least once before I write this review. The verdict is in, I loved them. I believe I will get years of travelling out of them. This is a luggage set worth the cost.
Good Deal for pretty good luggage January 7, 2008

I bought this about two months ago for my boyfriend and myself. We have since gone on three trips, including 10 days in Mexico. So far so good, the quality is pretty good. I have definitely seen and purchased the cheap luggage and this is far better quality. Plus, I really like that there is a handle on every side so when you are, say, loading your car you can lift the luggage up horizontally and flat (I hope that makes sense:) and the handles on both ends are hard sturdy plastic.
I have seen complaints of black scuff marks on the suitcases after going through the airport. Yes, of course the red suitcases get black marks when they go through the airport. I don't think quality or price has anything to do with that, it's just a fact of life. Your suitcase is going through a machine....repeatedly. Anyway, it's been fine so far there's a few black scuffs but I'm happy.
